GAFA readers may have known about the pig-killing scam by now. But did you know there are also what scammers call "bird-killing scams" and "fish-killing scams"? They all have the same elements as the pig-killing scam, but they have specific targets and apply beyond investment.
"Bird-killing scams" are when scammers contact targets through social media platforms or instant messaging apps (such as WeChat) to promote job opportunities that can bring returns in a short period of time.
